Personal Learning Plans
February 24, 2021
Attention all MTS high school students! Starting in the 2020-2021 school year, we will be completing a new document called a Personal Learning Plan (PLP). What is a PLP you might ask? Well, a PLP is a document that was created by the Minnesota Department of Education to help students successfully transition to postsecondary education and employment. According to Ms. Lane, “It should be looked at as a life plan that helps you set goals and prepare for graduation and for what you want to do after you graduate.” From now on, students will start their documents in 9th grade and update them every year until graduation. It is important to update it each year as our plans and goals might change.
Your PLP should have been completed in December. Ms. Lane came to all the Social Studies classes and shared the document with the students. If you have not completed your PLP, you can access the form here (scroll down to the bottom of the page). If you need any help or have any questions, you can email Ms. Lane. She will be using your PLP to share exciting opportunities with you throughout the year.
